Let’s talk about fitness + nutrition!
Below you will find some of my favorite supplements, ways of eating healthy, and workouts that have helped me stay in shape and lose the 25-30 lbs that I did AND keep it off for over three and a half years. I gained this weight after my college soccer career ended at Vanderbilt University. Please keep in mind that I am no nutritionist or certified personal trainer. This is just what has worked for me.
What I do in a nutshell: Advocare, eating healthy, and exercising!!
Advocare:
I did the Advocare 24-day Jump Start and it 100% kick-started my weight loss journey and cleansed my body. I lost 8 lbs the first 24 days. After completing this challenge, I felt amazing and energized.
Now, I take Thermoplus every morning right when I wake up to kick-start my metabolism (30 minutes or so before breakfast) (one bottle lasts over 3 months). I take Crave Check SR 30-45 minutes before breakfast and 2 hours or so after lunch (one bottle lasts me over a month and a half). I also take Catalyst 30 minutes before my workout and drink a Spark in the morning and usually before a workout.
I highly recommend the 24-day Jump Start to get you started, but if you don’t want to invest the money, I love the Spark, Thermoplus, & CraveCheck SR. The great thing about Advocare is that it is not a one size fits all. I would love to help you match the right products based on your goals and budget. There are also a TON of other products, so let me know if you want to hear more.

Crave Check SR: $25.95

Tips for Eating Healthy:
A few of my favorite tools to help me with this include MyFitnessPal. It is a FREE app to help keep up with your weight and count calories.
Breakfast – I eat a Quest bar or drink a meal replacement shake for breakfast every morning because they are full of protein and keep me satisfied until lunchtime (the key is protein).
Lunch – I usually try to keep my meal under 600 calories so I can splurge a bit on dinner. A typical lunch for me would be a turkey wrap or sandwich with an apple and chips (only eat the serving size).
Dinner – I loooove my dinners. When going to a restaurant, if you are craving a burger, you get that burger!! But maybe get a side salad instead of french-fries.
DO NOT DRINK YOUR CALORIES!!! – Substitute a Sprite for a La Croix. Instead of ordering a Blue Moon or IPA, order a Michelob Ultra. Instead of ordering a margarita or a LIT, order a vodka soda lime – ONLY 70 CALORIES!!
Workouts:
SET GOALS!! Set short-term goals and long-term goals. Your goal should not be to “look good in a bikini this summer”, but to be happy with yourself and to FEEL GREAT.
I love my Apple Watch. I recommend tracking your workouts whether that be on a Fitbit, Apple Watch, MyFitnessPal, etc.
For me, cardio is KEY. When I go to the gym, you will find me on the treadmill or elliptical machine. When starting my weight loss journey after gaining weight after college sports, I stuck to walking on the treadmill with an incline for thirty-minutes or so. Now, I can run 4-miles at an 8 minute pace. Hard work pays off & it feels awesome.
GROUP CLASSES. I love going to Cyclebar and Body Attack classes.
If it is bad weather outside and you do not have a gym to go to, that’s no excuse. I love the app, Sworkit. It is a free app and is AWESOME for at-home workouts! I also love the apps Fitness Buddy and the Nike+RunClub app.

***Advocare is GREAT and I have seen results that I was not previously able to duplicate on my own. That being said, it does not work by itself. There is no replacement for diet and exercise!
