We just got back from mom’s 60th birthday trip! We had a blast at Dancing Bear Lodge in Townsend, TN. Dancing Bear Lodge is a beautiful venue that hosts weddings, private events, or just a weekend getaway.. A perfect escape! There are so many activities including hiking, bike trails, tubing down the river, fishing or just enjoying the view.
We stayed in the Rocky Top Cabin and I couldn’t recommend it enough! Click here to see more photos of this largest cabin.
On Friday night we cooked dinner at the lodge and had a game night with all of my mom’s closest friends. If you’ve never played Fish Bowl, you need too ASAP. Click here for how to play.
On Saturday morning Luke and his dad went fishing while the rest of us went on a hike. We went on the Schoolhouse Gap Trail and it was beautiful!
Later that afternoon, Liam gave us a little scare. He broke out in widespread hives and his breathing was affected, so we ended up taking him to the ER. He is thankfully doing much better now and we are waiting to do allergy testing to hopefully figure out what caused it. Luckily we were able to make it back in time for mom’s birthday dinner.
We went out for her birthday dinner at Appalachian Bistro. I ordered the pork chop and mom got the filet.. both were INCREDIBLE. We loved the atmosphere and yummy cocktails.
XOXO,
Laura Elizabeth
