Hi friends!!
We just got back from our home away from home (Sandestin, FL) and, in case you didn’t know, my parents own to beach condos there so we visit ALL THE TIME! I received lots of requests on where to eat and what to do in the area! I will quickly list out some of our all time favorite restaurants in the area below.
Boshamps – by FAR our favorite restaurant down there! It’s located in the heart of Destin and is on the pricier side, but it is WORTH IT! I always get the grouper, but my dad and husband love the “original snapper Destin.”
Grayton Brew Pub – more fun to visit not prego so you can enjoy their tasty brews! It’s hard to find a place that makes their own GOOD beer, but also has outstanding food. Their BBQ nachos are out of this world!
Baytowne Wharf – Baytowne is such a fun place to go! It’s located right in the Sandestin property and is family friendly, but also has night life! A few of our favorite restaurants in Baytowne include Rum Runners, Slick Lips, Hammer Heads, Marina Cafe, Marlin Grill, etc.
Pompano Joes – If you’ve ever been to The Back Porch.. it’s very, very similar and owned by the same company!! This is one of the best places with such a fun atmosphere right on the ocean.
Seaside – a quick 30 minute drive away is the beautiful little town of Seaside which has tons of cute shops and restaurants!
Louis Louis – same owners of the famous Red Bar, but never quite as crowded! They have a very limited menu, but I love this about Louis Louis. They’ve absolutely perfected everything on their small menu. I recommend their smoked tuna dip, crab cakes or their penne chicken.
Louisiana Lagniappe – this one is close to Boshamps in the heart of Destin and somewhat similar. Very good!
There are so many more wonderful places to visit in the area, but I just wanted to list out mine and my family’s top favorites!!
