13 Week #bumpdate
Baby boy is the size of a lemon this week and we’re loving him more and more every day. I am still feeling good.. less nauseous than before (thank goodness!) and I’ve had much more energy than earlier in the first trimester.. FINALLY starting to feel like myself again.
I had a doctors appointment this morning and all went well! Unfortunately, they called me last night and told me my spouse wasn’t allowed at the appointment. I TOTALLY understand and think that’s the best decision, but I was still kinda bummed he couldn’t be there. I’m praying things clear up before our 20 week anatomy ultrasound. I would be so upset if Lukey couldn’t come to that one and see little babe with me.
Baby boy’s heart rate was 158 and Mama is looking healthy doctor said! They confirmed I haven’t gained any weight this first trimester and she said that is completely normal. Most Mamas either don’t gain any weight or gain just a few pounds. She said that sometimes, due to severe morning sickness, Mamas can even lose weight their first trimester. My goal is to gain between 25 and 30 lbs this pregnancy. Some have asked if I’m worried about how many body will change during all this and I truly am not (as of right now haha!). It’s just a part of life and it is beautiful and special. My greatest blessing this far in life has been to carry our son.. gaining weight and stretch marks is just part of it. Ask me how I’m feeling about all of this postpartum though.. 😉
