Yes, I work in the corporate world full-time and, yes, I work for myself as a content creator, influencer, blogger (whatever you want to call it) on top of it. Why? Because I enjoy it and find it meaningful. I am more afraid of staying where I am than to take risks and grow. That’s why I’ve been working so hard on my own brand on top of working on progressing in my corporate career. I am pursuing something that is meaningful to me personally.
My friend sent me a powerful message from Jordan Peterson this morning. It said, “It’s a luxury to pursue what makes you happy. It’s a moral obligation to pursue what you find meaningful. You should be afraid of taking risks and pushing something meaningful, but you should be more afraid of staying where you are and never growing or changing.”
