All About the Bride

Another Wednesday, another wedding post! I cannot believe we got MARRIED over 6 months ago. The time is just flying by! I can’t believe one of the best days of our lives is now in the rear view mirror.

If you missed my wedding day details post, you can find that here and if you missed our wedding video, this can be found here.

I want to use this blog post to focus on the BRIDE. So, all of you future brides out there listen up!

What were you most stressed about leading up to the wedding?

As silly as it may sound, I was most stressed about everyone ELSE having a great day. My mom, Peggy from Heels and Veils (our wedding planner) and I had everything in control ahead of time. We didn’t save anything until the last minute – the smartest thing we could have done. Leading up to wedding day, I was just so stressed about everything being perfect for the guests, our parents, our wedding party, etc. I would recommend focusing more on yourself and your groom. Leave the other stresses of the day up to your maid of honor/bridesmaids and wedding planner.

Is hiring a professional photographer and videographer really worth the price?

YES YES YES! I couldn’t stress this enough. Especially for me, I love pictures. Looking back on pictures and videos help me relive the day and the good times. Everyone else I talked to said the same thing. I asked some if they regretted not having a videographer and every single person said YES. We went with Joy Wildflower Photography and Milestone Pictures.

How did you decide on your photographer?

I decided on Joy Wildflower Photos because they stood out to me. Right after putting in the inquiry on their website, I got a call from the main photographer, Hannah. She was so sweet and even custom made a package just for me. I could tell off the bat that she truly cared about her clients and wanted to do whatever is best for them. Her and her husband are the photographers and it was PERFECT because Hannah could be with the girls all day and her husband was with my groom and his groomsmen all day. They got to capture every moment. It was also special because Hannah got photos of my father and I walking down the isle while her husband got photos of Luke watching us. So special.

Joy Wildflower Photography is offering you all a discount if you mention my name when booking a wedding package!

How did you decide on your hair style?

I would recommend asking a professional hair stylist (I used Alyssa from Grow) what hair style might look best on YOU. We’re all different! They’ll take your hair length and texture as well as your facial structure to decide what might be best! I knew I wanted to wear my hair down, but I still wanted it to look fancy, so we did half up half down and added some baby’s breath flowers. I couldn’t have been more please with the results. Also, don’t be afraid to tell them you want to make a change or you need to switch it up. This is your day. They want you to love your hair and feel beautiful and confident on your big day.

Where did you find your bridal robe and your bridesmaids robes?

One of my sweet bridesmaids, Scarlett, bought me this robe for my lingerie shower. I loved it! It is from Victoria’s Secret and can be found here. Also, you can find my bridesmaids robes here.

How did you decide on your wedding day makeup look?

Stephanie called my look “soft glam”. I didn’t want my eyes to be too harsh, but I still wanted to be GLAM.
